Remember the Fallen

This picture leaves me "SPEECHLESS"... Having been blessed beyond belief by Steven coming home not once but twice from Iraq this picture really brings the Survivors guilt that Frank and I have talked about so often to the surface. We will be forever grateful to our Father in Heaven for giving us our son back, words are just that.... Words....there is nothing we can say to show our gratitude. So this weekend I honor all of those mothers and fathers , sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents , all families who have not been as blessed as we have been. For every war, from the first war to the present one, my heart aches for you but because of your loved one and your biggest sacrifice ever, I am able to sit here and type these words in my home where I am safe and comfortable. I thank you . May God bless you and your family for the rest of your days.

Love, Frank and Kristy

Wonderful! I hope that we are doing the photo justice. The woman in it was the fiance of the young man who was killed. The photo was taken last Memorial Day, I can't help but think that she will be there again on Monday.

Kristy, you have the very best reason to celebrate. Your son is home and safe. And those that have lost due to the curse of this unnecesssary war, will rejoice and celebrate with their loves ones in God's home. I will pray for all that continue to suffer and will suffer in the the future because of the loss of a loved one. It is truely a time for contemplation and remembering. ((HUGS))

Krisy, Mav's son just returned home last month from a 15 month tour in Afghanastan. I know it was a relief to Mav to have Michael back stateside. I was praying for his safety all the time. He lost a lot of friends while he was there.

We must never forget the underlying reasons we have these three day holidays. They aren't just picnic days.

Kristy, thank you for your (overly) kind comment on my blog!
