Ok ...about our trip to Chicago!!
I know alot of you have been wondering about the EMW conference in Chicago. First of all I really have to give credit to Great Wall for putting on a really informative conference. For Frank and I it was to be totally honest alot of repetition. We have been to the travel seminars and other stuff so the conference was alot of stuff that we have already sat through in the last two years.
But if you have not done all of the seminars the conference is a good opportunity to kill alot of birds with one stone.
BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT CHICAGO IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! It was my first time to be in Chicago and that town is unbelievable as far as architecture goes. And I have to admit that being a "LAKE" kid, I was in awe that what I was looking at was not the ocean but a lake!!!! It is unbelievable. We did the Hancock building, we went to Navy Pier, we did a segway tour that was the best $150.00 we have ever spent as far as fun goes!!! AND ..... I went to my first Broadway play. We saw "WICKED" on saturday night and it was great!!! If it is in your town ...GO!!!! You will love it.
We met some really neat people. AJ and Tracey from Ohio. They are LID January 07. They have two boys. We went to the play with them and some other things and it was so nice getting to know them and we are really looking forward to becoming good friends with them and watching their journey also.
And we met Lisa and Jerry Howell from Chicago. And they were so much fun, Jerry was a riot with his dry sense of humor, he was really funny!! Lisa really dislikes living in Chicago and wants to get back to Texas as soon as she can. A girl after my own heart!!!! lolol It was kinda neat meeting her, I have a close friend and her name is Lisa and maiden name is Howell. How weired is that????
One really good thing about attending this conference was that Frank got really involved so to speak. Thru this entire journey Frank has been the silent one. Just keeping his distance from the blog , etc. Always saying that it will happen when God is ready for it to happen. He is always praying for our daughter across the world and loving her from a distance. But the conference I think made it real to him. And now it is just not me that knows certain things. I don't know if I am making any sense at all, I hope some of you know what I mean.
Frank and AJ went to the session about the Adoption Tax credit and all of you need to really educate yourself about that. There was alot we did not know. For instance, every dime you spend in reference to your adoption can be claimed. Like even our hotel cost, everything can be claimed, so educate yourself okie dokie.
Love and blessings!

Thanks to Thom and Peggy another couple we met in Chicago the picture I have titled "Gorgeous Church" is actually the original Chicago Water Tower. Thom also said that it survived the Great Chicago fire of 1871.
I apologize for not mentioning Thom and Peggy before. For the life of me I could not remember Peggy's name. I apologize for that Peggy. They are the one's that told us to do the Segway tour. IT WAS AWESOME!!! And we will be back to Chicago!!! We want to take all of our kids, we want to see them experience such an awesome city!!! Thank you again.

We are off.....
Well we are off to Chicago... Our flight leaves at 7:14 a.m.!!! Did you read that right???? 7:14 a.m. and we live about 40 minutes from the airport in San Antonio. We are going to the East meets West Conference so I will let all of you know how it went. We won't be back until Monday night. The conference will be over on Saturday ,but we are making a little getaway out of it. The only thing that is bothering me is Astrud has a volleyball tournament in Houston. We have never missed her tournaments and we have never let her go that far before without us. Although nobody in our family is able to go she is completely taken care of and I know she will be just fine, but it is just nerve wracking!!!!
So I will miss all of you and we will be back soon and I will let you know all about it.
Love and blessings, God bless, Kristy

A PRAYER REQUEST PLEASE
Hi everyone, I received this email from my cousin Tracy. This young lady lives in San Antonio , Texas. Please, please pray for her and ask your friends and family to pray for her. This is one of those things that reminds you that your problems just are not so bad. Thank you so much and God bless all of you.
Love and blessings, Kristy
Here is the email:
Hi everyone,I am writing to ask each of you a favor. I found out last night that there is a young
girl in my church, who is still in high school that just found out she has stage 2 ovarian cancer.
The doctors told her that if they remove her ovaries, she will have about 2 years to live: if they
do not, she will have less than 6 months to live. She has not told her father as of yesterday as she
just lost her mother to breast cancer. Can you please pray for this young girl. Her name is
Hannah. Please lift her up in prayer and pray that God will heal her. Pray that God will use her
as a living testimony for Him. Please forward this to your prayer chains, cell groups, Sunday
schools- whoever you know that will pray in agreement with you for this young girl, Hannah. She
has to give the doctors an answer on Monday. I am praying that they will marvel at the miracle
of God's work on her body when they realize she has been healed. I am also praying that when
she tells her father, that he will not get discouraged, but will believe with her that God still heals.
Thank you everyone!

I AM SO SORRY AMY!!!!!!
I'm Playing Catch Up!!!!
Hi everyone!!!! I just wanted to apologize for not being around lately. With work, volleyball practice and tournaments, drivers ed everynight 30 miles away, teaching youth at church on Wednesdays, birthday parties, baby showers, wedding showers, we have really been busy. I have not yet seen one of Drake, Coby, Miranda, Lily, or Haley's baseball games! My sweetie pie neice Lily had her 8th birthday party and if you can believe it , I forgot my camera!!! I ALWAYS have my camera, so there are no pictures to share!!! I am praying for things to slow down because I miss all of you so much. I apologize for such a long post but I just had to share all of this with you. I hope you enjoy some of the happenings in our ordinary great life!!! Have a great and very blessed weekend!!!!
My friend Lea from Ontario sent me this coffee mug and I LOVE it!!! I think it is so precious, in the bottom of the mug it reads, "Peace and Love and cha cha cha!!!" How cute is that. Thank you Lea, I love it!!!!
This is my Aunt Margie and her daughters. My cousins Val, Valinda , Karen and my cousin Chet's wife Tracy!!!! Aren't they beautiful!!!! I love all of them so much.
And this would be Aunt Margie with "THE MAN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was trying to get a good picture of my girls and my Daddy, (Poppy) kept creeping in the picture as you can see!!! Too funny!!! Love my Daddy!!!
But I did get it finally! Aren't they just scrumptious!!!! Love 'em so much!! They are my Lil'Peeps!!!!!
This is Shannon, she now lives in Houston and I have not seen her for years! I think about her and miss her all the time. People she has never changed!!!! She has two beautiful children. She cracks me up, she kept telling me how good I looked. She's a liar!!! I have every wrinkle my Grandma had, but she says that in all her pictures she photoshops her crows feet !!! Doesn't that just crack you up!!! And it is so Shannon!! I love you Shannon !!
OK this is part of our "GANG"!!! We all grew up together and I must admit that we all learned how to drink beer together!!!! On the bottom left to right is my sister Kerry, Deb, and Dana, and top row is Jennifer, Me, Shannon and Missy. Jennifer and Missy are sisters and Debby's cousins. There are alot more of us but I have to tell you it is so great to get with these ladies again. All of us except Shannon still live here but are so busy with our families that we never get to just hang out together. There is alot of history here. All of our parents have known each other for 40 years plus, we are all from 40 down to at least 36 years old. There is three of us that have been divorced and remarried, one of us even married him again!!! There is a breast cancer survivor!(Praise God), all of us have raised children , and/or step children, two of us have been thru some sort of heart surgery with our children, one of us was in a car accident with her boyfriend when we were in high school , and Debby and Missy were with me the entire day that Christopher died so many years ago!!!! Like I said before there is alot of history and I really, really love these gals!!!! I love all of you and thank you for the memories and I am looking forward to making more!!!
God bless these women, these are our MOMS!!!!!! From left is Potsy, Dana's mom, Gloria , a.k.a. Glo, Debby's mom , Sudie, mine and Kerry's mom, and Helen, Shannon's mom!!!!! We know there were times when we put them through hell. But they have always loved us unconditionally and it kind of scares me that our parent's are now the "Older people" in our lives. It was so good seeing my mom with her friends, even though at times she seemed really confused she knew exactly who they were and just thrived in the presence. No matter what life throws us, we know we always have each other and life is good!!!!
