Remember the Fallen
This picture leaves me "SPEECHLESS"... Having been blessed beyond belief by Steven coming home not once but twice from Iraq this picture really brings the Survivors guilt that Frank and I have talked about so often to the surface. We will be forever grateful to our Father in Heaven for giving us our son back, words are just that.... Words....there is nothing we can say to show our gratitude. So this weekend I honor all of those mothers and fathers , sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents , all families who have not been as blessed as we have been. For every war, from the first war to the present one, my heart aches for you but because of your loved one and your biggest sacrifice ever, I am able to sit here and type these words in my home where I am safe and comfortable. I thank you . May God bless you and your family for the rest of your days.
Love, Frank and Kristy

I need all of my Prayer Warriors again....
My lifelong friend Jeanine and her husband Mark are in the middle of a nightmare right now. Last week they were told that their 14 year old son, Seth has Lymphoma of the intestines. To date he has had a chemo port implanted, had bone marrow extracted, and today had chemo to his spine for preventitive reasons. But thanks to the power of prayer once again the chemo is breaking up the tumors in his belly and they are dissolvng, but it will take a while because there is so many of them.
Seth is a popular kid that everybody loves. He is a big baseball player, his dad has coached him for years. And when we were up at the ballpark tonight for Lily, Drake, and Haley's game the talk was how all the kids, even girls are going to shave their heads , and all of the teams are putting Seth's name and number on their jerseys!!!! How awesome is that!! Everyone is praying for him. The girls prayed for him before their games this weekend at the tournament, it is just great how these kids are rallying around Seth.
And to be honest... as a a parent this is one of those things that just scares the hell out of me. One day you have this what you think is a perfectly healthy kid and the next he's fighting for his life. You really get a reality check when something like this happens. I ask all of you to please pray for Seth, please put him on your prayer list, and ask your friends and family to pray for him. Thank you so much , and may God bless each of you and may he bless all of your children.
p.s. Even thought it just does not seem as important since all of this has happened ...the girls took 2nd at the tournament. They had a great tournament, but I must admit during the Championship game they choked a little and let the other team get in their heads, but hey there is always next year!!!! They had a great season and I am so proud of all of them!!!

Please pray for China
I know by now all of you know about the horrible earthquake in China. We received this email from our agency Great Wall.
Orphanage Earthquake Relief Fund
Several orphanages in the Sichuan and Chongqing provinces that Great Wall regularly receives referrals from have been directly affected by the catastrophic earthquake that occurred in China May 12, 2008. In an effort to assist orphanages that have been affected by the earthquake; Great Wall has started a special relief fund for orphanages in need. These funds will go directly to providing rescue resources, reconstruction projects, and any other necessary assistance. If you are interested in donating to the fund, please click on the following link to download the donation form. This form can then be emailed, faxed, or mailed directly to Great Wall. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Kimber at Great Wall China Adoption by phone at 512.323.9595 ext 3053 or by email at kimber@gwca.org.
I am not posting this asking you to donate to this fund, I am desperately asking for your prayers and prayer is free. I am sure there are families that have recently received pictures of their daughters and are waiting to travel to these provinces . And now they are waiting to hear if their babies are ok. This just worries me so much!!!!!! So please pray , pray, pray and ask everyone
you know to pray. Thank you so much and God bless each one of you.
Love and blessings, Kristy

Praise HIM!!!
Ok the pictures from the wedding will come soon, but for now I just have to share this with all of you!!!!
I will try to make this short and sweet!!!
Last summer my husband Frank had Lasik eye surgery. He was darn near blind. Everyone we knew that had had the surgery said it was like having completely new eyes. Well.... Frank was not that lucky. You see he has some funky things going on with his eyes and for almost a year we have been getting new prescriptions for his glasses that he watches tv with and such. This is because his eyesight was changing rapidly the way it was expected to. For three weeks now he has had an enhancement scheduled that we were told would be more in detail than even the first procedure.
OK with that said there is another sequence of events that I have to tell you before I go any further..... For about 3 years I have been praying that Frank would openly pray with me outloud as a couple. The bible tells us to do this,we are also told that he man of the house is supposed to be the spiritual leader of the home, and he is in every other aspect of our lives, but praying aloud was just not where he was yet!!! Alot of our friends do this and I really wanted this connection with my husband. There is just something a woman feels when she knows her man is praying with her. And I wanted that. But he was just not ready. We have even argued about it thru the years.
There has been alot of medical things going on with both of us and I did not have a good day sunday so before we went to bed I grabbed Frank and Astrud and I prayed aloud, and guess what... Frank added his prayers in also!! And then on tuesday, and wednesday he did the same. But he was taking the initiative to start the prayers. We had also been praying for him at work. Well.... he had even said on the second night that something was going on with his sight and I kind of just shrugged it off and said well on thursday it will all be fine.
So here we are sitting and waiting for the procedure and Frank has some questions in regards to medication and such and by chance the doctor says lets take a look. He worked with the optical lens machine with Frank for about 30 minutes and then asked him , Frank are you a praying man???? Frank anwswered yes, and as a matter of fact my wife has been asking me to pray with her for a really long time and we just started doing that this week! The doctor then scratches his head and says well it worked because your vision is 20/20!!!!!! Can you believe that????????
Had Frank not asked the doctor those questions , they would have proceeded with the procedure and what they were going to do, the doctor said that would have completely ruined everything that had already been accomplished!!!! And chances are his sight would have been awlfully worse.
So I praise my father in heaven. PRAYER WORKS , and we truly believe this is the work of his hands. It is our own little miracle. Thank you God for taking care of us and for loving us the way you do. Praise HIM!
