Today is my Mom's 65th Birthday. I am sure by now all of you know that my mom has Alzheimers disease. She still knows all of us and stuff like that, but NOTHING is the same from minute to minute to say the least. My wish for today is that somehow miraculously there would be a cure found today!!! I miss MY mama , you know the real one, so bad it hurts. I would love to just have a REAL conversation with her like we used to. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA, I LOVE YOU more than words could ever say, and I know The Heart Remembers.....

Happy Birthday to your mom Kristy.I did not know she had Alzheimer's. I was sad to hear that Kristy. I have dealt with many things in our family but not Alzheiemer's. Your faith is so strong and it will see you through. Have a beautiful Easter with your family and I am so happy that your son is home this Easter to be with his family, what a blessing is right!!!!!!!! My thoughts are with you!!!!!!!!!!

It's a horrible desease...my Grandfather struggled with it for many years and it was so hard on the family. Now my Grandmother has it...or severe demenisa, they aren't sure which, and she lives all alone. Very difficult.

Happy, happy day to Steven. But especially Happy Birthday to oyur Mother. I understand your situation, more than you know. My Mother is still with us and she is sharp as a tack but Mike lost his Mother as a young man of 21 and he has never gotten over that pain. To quote my sister-in-law's favorite Dr. Seuss- " Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
